About UsIn the state of Arizona the boys' volleyball season is in the spring (Feb.-May). Regular season matches run from March through April with the state championship tournament being held the first week of May. During the 2018-2020 school years the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) reorganized all schools into regions based on school population. Since Tucson High is one of the largest schools in the state, the Badgers will be competing in the new 6A Metro Region with Alhambra, Cesar Chavez, Maryvale, North, and Trevor G. Browne High Schools. Our Girls' Schedule also includes schools from smaller 4A and 5A divisions. For the complete list of all teams competing in 6A please visit the AIA's website.
Unlike girls' volleyball, not every school in the state has a boys' volleyball team so there are only 2 divisions to compete in - 6A & 5A. Our schedule mostly includes matches with 6A schools out of Phoenix, but we also play several top teams from Tucson who are in the 5A division. For the complete list of all teams competing in 6A please visit the AIA's website.
If you are interested in playing boys' volleyball please come to our open gyms before the season starts. You should check the website calendar to keep up to date on happenings or get prompt updates on Facebook & Instagram.
